Development of Cavity Matrix Combustor for Biogas Application

The use of conventional fossil fuels has limitations in energy resources and environmental problems such as greenhouse gas, air pollution, etc. Biogas sustainable renewable characteristics that can be used an alternative source to alleviate these problems. In this study, we proposed a novel cavity matrix combustor directly enables the combustion what is produced small medium-sized biogas facilities without separation or purification. We also identified for changes ratio, gas feed rate, exhaust recirculation rate optimal operating conditions based on this. performance test result showed excellent combustion. are: ratio 60% CH4 40% CO2, 1.1, 30L/min, 100%. At time, efficiency was 87%, unburned components were CO, UHCs, which are 0.01% 0.05%, respectively, NOx 1ppm.
